Hi Everyone!
You Ask...We Listen!
Starting Thursday, March 4th we will be opening a second day from 8-3. We will still be open every Saturday. Many of our customers like what we do and would love to see a second day. Therefore, we've decided that Thursday would work out best for everyone :) Thursday will be like a regular Saturday for all the vendors and our customers. We will also be starting an outside market this Summer at the Western Fair Farmer's Market! Masonville Market will be starting again in May.
We're still trying to get everything together for that market...but we would first like to focus on our NEW MARKET DAY THURSDAY!

I am excited about the market being open on thursdays and saturdays. I go shopping there every saturday and find it really convenient since I live down the street. Can't wait until the outdoor market opens this summer.

Thanks Heather! We're also really excited to start! Can't wait till we get this day rocking! :-) Our outdoor market at Masonville will start in May and most likely here at the Western Fair around the same time.

The vendors thought 10-6 would be a better time. So we rolled with it, come visit and lets grow a second day together.

Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to update you on where we are with the brand new market day Thursdays. MANY vendors are digging in their heels and working hard to build a second day for our market and community. Last Thursday was a challenging and humbling day for our market. It was the first Thursday that we made it optional for vendors to come. It has been a tough few weeks as the amount of customers coming was not enough for many vendors to cover costs. It has been slowly improving each week but was very challenging for some and they decided not to come. We had very limited meat, eggs, flowers, and produce. Some customers were angry.
I wanted to let you know that we are in and we are working hard to further build upon the awesome community market we have created together on Saturdays. There is going to be an adjustment period until we get the word out but as the Thursday market continues to develop it will be more comfortable, easy paced and different in a good way.
We will be filling the empty booths and several vendors have changed their minds and are going to come help us build it.

We are going to meet lots and lots of local area farmers and we are really excited to talk to them about the opportunities that we can share to help offer more local produce and farmer engagement events on Thursdays to really connect everyone in the southwestern Ontario area. Wilma and I are going to work the room and hopefully get to you the first crops off the fields and the special people that grow them.
So in closing bear with us, exciting things come when we as a community work together to build an awesome local market together. Spread the word.
